Somehow, even after a long conversation in this episode, we uncovered EVEN MORE wild stuff about his past in today's Post Show: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLe_q9axMaeTbjN0hy1Z9xA/join

Honestly when he was unaware that his wife had their home appraised it instantly made me wonder if she is planning divorce. I hope that is not the case but that is a partnership thing to do. Not solo when you’re married. They could also be super dysfunctional in their marriage also.

True success, to me, is living debt free. Takes work but it is DEFINITELY possible. With sound investments, money really can make money.

    "That's not what's happening, BUDDY.."

    "I said she's in college"

This guy's straight off National Lampoon's

Has to ask if brown bagging is right, … AT 62!!! My dad taught me about the "idiots who spend $10 a day(now $20-25) at the food truck, spending a 1/2's days pay each week" & I see it every day. Same guys with car payments and spending over a hundred at the "roach coach" are always working tons of OT on beautiful days yet are consistently broke. Asking for loans till payday. Haha. Love it. Bet the bosses really love it because they know that this person needs to work 2 weeks just to cover his BMW. Then they complain about some politicians they know nothing about or yell about immigrants, etc. Anything but look at themselves

Can you imagine when the current 25-35 yo's reach this age? God help us. Then again this guy is a special kind of stupid & selfish. Shortsighted. Just listen 50:00 to him talking about his daughter.

Starting over very late, this guy gives me great hope. Both where he's at financially, & even more so his attitude & complete lack of plan at his age. Feel for him but the more he opens his mouth I feel less.

AND AN ADULT USING CREDIT ONE! Scam company. Lol. $300 limit for 35% or so.

If you are wondering at what age you should save money… The answer is yes.

Also, I had a comment when towards the end of the interview how defensive he got and pouting like a little kid. That's his problem. It's his mental maturity. He gets upset when he knows he shouldn't be doing something dumb but still wants to like teenager mentality at 61. It's crazy

Caleb, besides another bankruptcy, his best move would be to rent out individual rooms in his home. That’s, along with buying a rental property with an inheritance, was what my mother, a low paid secretary, did and she died with assets of $1.2 million. In Austin, a room could go for about $350. If they’re in a four bedroom house with a finished basement, that would gross an extra $1,400 a month.

What’s terrible is 15 years ago this job was probably really good. My mom never made more than 27k a year and raised 2 kids with no benefits. With the recent amount of inflation and price increase he’s really really struggling to stay afloat. This is why bad policies are killing people more than people know

My father has more. He not only bankrupted them, he did it twice. He opens cards in my mom's name because she was still working. He carried them; played card rotation payment. He ran through her retirement plan… and yet he still can afford more debt and a new car ever year. He's now in his 80s.

I am so happy that I've been fiscally responsible and able to retire at age 59 and do the extra travel I've saved for. Any bonus went towards paying down debt, maxed out my 401k and buy houses/cars below my means.
Loving my scuba diving retirement! Thanks to my parents for the education.
