I never knew that Financial Advisors won't talk to anyone if they aren't investing more than £200k, that's insane!!! I thought I was just in a bad area for advisors but after seeing that it's abundantly clear why I couldn't be matched with anyone. This country is truly broken if that's a requirement. Infuriating. I did my own research and have started investing in that FTSE All World under Vanguard on my own, I've also diversified into Gold by 15% as I've read online that it's a good form of protection during market downturns.

If you are going to invest 1£ or 10£, then just don't. You are clearly not in a situation in your life where you can devote money to investing. Instead sort out your life, job and income first.

We have a serious issue in the uk, we need to start teaching this stuff at school! For some reason in the UK, it’s deliberately difficult to get to know this sort of knowledge. Nobody wants to help or give you advice or explain how it’s done. The hardest part is making a start!
